White Tiger Cub Cutout Tutorial

I just LOVE this digi, it's one of my very favorites from Jehanne (so far!)
"Tiger Cub" Digi from Just Some Lines
This card is going to yet another cousin of mine that just had a baby boy...all my relatives and friends are having boys!  That's ok, I don't mind boy cards at all!

Well you saw the finished card, if you ever wondered an easy way to cutout a portion of a stamp with  a Spellbinders Nestabilities die, it's quick & easy.
Step #1  Here is the digi stamp in the beginning, I made a small, light pencil mark near the right ear of the tiger, this was marking the top of the die (not the cutting mark).

Step #2 Cut out around the right ear & slipped die under ear, so it wouldn't get cut off.

Step #3  I taped the top of the die down to the part of the paper that is scrap.
In retrospect I should have done all 4 corners..you'll see why..

Step #4  This is the finished die cut stamp, you'll see that a tiny bit of the tail got cut off, but I didn't want to hide the boo-boo. I figure it's part of the process, I'll do it a bit differently next time.

Used Copic Sketch Markers to color the digi.
Used  Classic Square LG and Classic Scalloped Square LG
on Derwent Watercolor Paper &  Colorbok Bright Pattern Paper
Giftcard Tag made of Printed Vellum, an Eyelet & Offray Ribbon
Card base from Colorbok Cool Blues Cardstock
