COLOR CHANGING TUTORIAL
I know this doesn't just happen to me (right??)... here I am in a pickle..... my printer is out of black ink.....all my digis and projects coming up need to be printed out ASAP!! The local office supply store is handy, yes, but I just balk at paying full price per copy when I'm supplying the paper. Generally the digis I use are in black. What can I do to get them to use the color ink I presently have?? How to change the color of digis?
I use picnik.com for my photo editing. I love this program/website!!!
I don't own any photo editing software, and don't know if I want/need to now that I have picnik.
You can make an account and do basic photo editing and such for free.
I have a premium membership where I can do extra fancy stuff when I choose.
IF you do go to picnik.com & register, tell them sandytoz sent you!
Follow me as I change the digi color so I can print it out..
1. get to picnik.com & log in/register
2. upload your digi from your computer
3. go to the "create" tab in the top center of your screen
4. go to "effects" tab in upper left corner of your screen
5. go to "Duo-Tone", slide down about halfway down the bar
6. The default is a blue/yellow combo---don't panic!!
choose the color you wish the digi to be printed in as color #1, choose white as #2
7. Confirm you choice by clicking the "apply" button
8. go to the "save & share" tab at the top rightish of your screen
9. save a copy to your computer & print it out!!! YAY!
10. One last very important note: The prompt on picnik MAY ask you if you want to SHARE the digi. DO NOT SHARE this image on facebook, or other social/photo sites, as this is against the terms of use of every digital artist I'm aware of. Please be very aware when you're saving, just to save to your computer & not be sharing this digi!
I hope this helps out someone, I know it has been really helpful when my printer runs out of black ink & there's no $$ for it right away!
Please leave a quick note before you go, I love hearing from y'all!
Love, Laura
Great card, and great way to make what you have work. I love the papers and hope you get your ink soon. I understand the not having any $$'s either. LOL. Hugs, dj
